ECU will be hosting the 4th annual Bill Carson Track & Field Invitational on April 7th & 8th. Several top schools will be competing including NC State, Charlotte, Troy, Citadel and Coastal Carolina.
Coach Choo Track Club is once again organizing the volunteer crew. We need 40-50 individuals to assist the USATF officials with a number of different aspects of the meet. Volunteers are needed to check in athletes and officials, assist announcers, rake pits, move hurdles, shuttle athletes on to the track, count laps and a variety of other jobs. We will provide a free meet T-shirt and lunch for those volunteering. Let us know if you are interested in volunteering, we will add you to our communication list! Click here to volunteer! http://pirateinvite2016.milesplit.com/ We will be adding photos in the next couple of days! Meet t-shirts are still available! We have a couple of dozen Meet T-Shirts available! If you would like to get one of the shirts, you can email coachchoo@gmail.com New Bern's boys and Conley's women had to overcome different sets of weather conditions, but the results were the same as they posted dominating performances to win against several other schools in an ECC league meet on Wednesday.
Results The results are in! What a day! 7 races, 40+ schools, 1500+ runners in all between the Bo Run and the CoopStrong 3k. Due to the size of the meet we debuted a new chip timing system (needed to help us deal with the large number of runners finishing in such a short period of time! ) After some initial challenges the system worked great! We cross checked chip results with the hand results to ensure we posted accurate results.
